Delightfully Fresh

I find that there are often days like today, where simply flipping through a home decor magazine while waiting in line at the grocery store, or moments when I'm chatting with my hair dresser about her apartment's collection of eclectic decor that makes her feel right at home, that I'm reminded of how much I truly love interior design.  Sometimes while I am fully immersed in a project, I'm blinded by the extent of my to-do list, forgetting where my true passion lies.  I have to remind myself to take a step back, a breath of fresh air, and remember that I am blessed with the opportunity to do what I love every day.  Whether you love what you do everyday or not, that same act of appreciation for the things that are good in life is so incredibly important for us all to do.  Let's be inspired by the freshness of spring and the beauty of new life and positivity.  These delightfully fresh interiors are what is inspiring me today :)

Spring is in the Air

It happens every year towards the end of winter; The slightest warm breeze tousles our hair, colorful fashion catalogs crowd our mailboxes, trees begin to flower, and we all become eager for spring.  Most of the time the beginning of spring is a little too chilly to break out the shorts and sandals, but this afternoon I was actually able to soak up some toasty rays on my balcony, and it was lovely.  We're ready for you Spring! :)

Bring Spring Inside

Spring has arrived and blooms are popping up everywhere!  Spring is one of my favorite seasons because after a cold, dry winter it is so refreshing to see beautiful blooms and sprouting green grass.  I decided to collect a few branches from flowering trees and display them in recycled bottles to bring a touch of spring into my home.  Grouping different varieties of blooms in different recycled jars or bottles creates an interesting look.  I found these blooms around my community and as for the bottles, the center one is a Barefoot Wine bottle(I love the blueish tint in the glass) and the two opposite the wine bottle are Starbucks Frappuccino bottles.
