Inspired by Ikat

The bright colors and unique patterns of Ikat fabrics are very much in vogue at the moment.  Ikat is considered to be one of the oldest forms of textile decoration, common in many cultures ranging from South America to South-East Asia.  Ikat refers to the process of weaving that uses a method similar to tie-dyeing to create a unique pattern.

I keep seeing more and more Ikat being used in design lately, and I love it!  These wonderful patterns and vibrant colors are such a great way to brighten up your home.  Whats even better is that you can find Ikat patterns in decor ranging from duvet covers to dishes!
