Today is a rainy spring day for us at Forever Lovely and this weather has me day dreaming of Hawaii. Hubby and I spent our honeymoon on the island of Kauai and this gorgeous place holds a special spot in our hearts. We often find ourselves wishing that we were laying on one of Kauai's beautiful beaches relaxing the day away. Ahh.....okay back to reality! Since not all of us have the luxury of living in a tropical paradise, why not throw a spring garden party with a tropical theme?! Here are a few of our honeymoon photos and a collage I put together for inspiration.

When you are putting together a Hawaiian or tropical themed event I think its best to stay away from the obvious Hawaiian-themed decor (Think lei's and Hawaiian shirts). Instead plan your event around the colors, textures and flowers that you find in the tropics. I based this collage off of the colors in my honeymoon photos so I went with orange, greens and sandy brown. You can use a photo for inspiration too! Just go with what colors inspire you and add some tropical flowers and foliage and ta da! A perfect and beautiful tropical event!
